Introduce Yourself
I thought a thread where we can get to know each other a little better could be useful.
I'm Mary, 33, from Manchester in the UK.
I love cinema and I'm always looking to broaden my knowledge. I like a lot of European cinema including British. I also like a good blockbuster and 'small, character driven' films.
TV wise I'm a sucker for sci-fi.

Re: Introduce Yourself
I am going to cheat and post my bio. It is so much less personal... JK I am just half asleep:
Amy Laurel finds her passion writing for teens. Her body of work includes a poetry collection "Smiley Bikini Death Poetry", a dramatic novel "The Trouble With Suicide", and a YA novel "The Anomalous Adventures of James and Max" (which has been adapted to the screen and is currently in pre-production).
When she's not writing, Amy fills the well by practicing her taewkondo, fencing, and downing as much Diet Coke as humanly possible. She is currently tackling her most recent screen project, The Haan Blade(currently in pre-production).
See? not so personal, but I do love my diet coke. :-) That is from writersuniversity.com so there was no need to mention there that I am also an actress... and super fun. They worked out the super fun on their own, I am giving you all a head start.
Mary, I love it over there. Are you still out that way? I used to visit East Grinstead a lot. Mmm proper chips, squash (in anything) and mint sauce... I think those miss me the most.

Dan,
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. BRILLIANT! Even with the epic stare down at the end. I am going to have the whistling in my head all day now, lol!
What genre of books do you enjoy? I would love to recomend some non-heavy reading material!

I enjoy all kinds of books really, these are the books ive read so far:
Catcher in the rye
A Clockwork Orange
Lord of the flies
No Country for Old Men
The Road
Da Vinci Code
and i'm reading The Dark Tower part 1 right now.
so its a pretty wide variety of genres, as long as it keeps me wanting to turn that page.

You may enjoy Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, he is pretty funny.
The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams is a must, if you haven't read it.
Have you read To Kill A Mockingbird? Your list suggest to me that you have, but it is amazing.
I need to read Angels & Demons as well as The Davinci Code, have you read both?
You may also really like The Life of Pi by Yann Martel as well.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Amy - I'm still here. I see myself as never leaving Manchester. I've never been to Sussex though.
I also love to read. The older I get the more non-fiction I seem to read. If it's fiction it's usually crime fiction. Favourite crime authors are Donna Leon, Henning Mankell, CJ Sansom and Michael Connelly.
