V - The New Series

V is one of my childhood favourites. I own it all on dvd. Even the latter parts that weren't all that good really. From the trailer I can't determine how I feel. I'm worried, not sure it needs a remake. If they do a Battlestar on it I'll be ecstatic.
I only recognise one of the actors, the woman who played Juliet in Lost. She seems like she could do a good job. But yes, I too, miss Donovan. As well as a few others. I even miss Ham Tyler.

Re: V - The New Series
I remember watching the original series back when I was a kid and loved it. It was just great. The birth scene was so spooky!
Not so sure on the new series although I'm glad they are keeping it pretty close to the original idea.
All these TV shows are all starting to look very similar though (using the same actors doesn't help). Same city scapes, dull costumes, etc.
Hopefully this will be good, but with the current cull that seems to be running through the networks regarding Sci-Fi series I forsee this getting cancelled at the end of the series. If it is rubbish it will no doubt run for 7 series or more

Re: V - The New Series
Seems promising so far, only problem is the shaking of stuff when the ships arrive, like in independence day
where the moon's surface tremble when the ship travels above *sigh*
as for the actors, i feel the female that plays the "companion" or what they call them in Firefly, she fits very nicely
as their leader, from what i have seen of the teaser/trailers. And Clark Kent's cousin is always welcomed hehe.
V was also one of my fav. from when i was young, i wonder if they will play the imperial march (think it was that one)
in this version of the series too ^^
Anywho, sci-fi series are always welcomed at my home, usualy both the good and the bad

The 2nd trailer certainly does it's job. I really want to see this now. I just hope we don't have to wait for ages in the UK. 2010 already seems too far away. I found review of the pilot BEWARE it does contain SPOILERS but they are well marked.
I also hope they play the Imperial March! I loved that in the original.
