I do like Simon Pegg. Spaced was brilliant. I didn't think he was quite as good as I was hoping for in Star Trek. Maybe it was because I kept seeing Simon Pegg and not Scotty.
I saw both. He was a better Scotty than Scotty. Made me want to watch Run Fat Boy Run as soon as I left.

Death Proof 6/10
I liked it at the beginning, expecting to see alot of Stuntman Mike but i was left feeling dissapointed at the ending.

- Spoiler:
- As i'm always rooting for the badguys in movies, it was a painful sight to see Stuntman Mike getting killed by (all of a sudden) violent women

Bad Lieutenant 7.5/10
Great, intense film, not without it's flaws, but Harvey Keitel's performance is superb; which is really why this films worth seeing.

I so agree with you, great first half of a movie, really poor second half of the movie. As i see the movie as
two seperate movies, one where everything is gritty and stuff, and the second part where everything is fresh
and things turn around, i believe it should have been a short movie(50-60mins), only contain the first part.

The Warriors - 8/10
After waiting 2 weeks for this DVD to arrive, i finally watched it today, and its awsome.
Its not too long, so it doesnt become boring, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat (at certain points).
I didnt get the Ultimate Directors Cut wich is (as i have read) the DVD to have when it comes to the warriors, but i'm not in it for the extra's, just the kick-ass movie.

8 / 10 - Sam Raimi is back on form with this old school horror. Lots of shocks, funny bits and genuine scares.
Well acted, spooky and well worth seeing.

8/10 - Funny, crude but oh so romantic. A lovely film with some hilarious moments and had me chuckling all the way through.

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Yesterday I saw Day of the Dead - My second fave Romero so far.
12 Rounds - About what you'd expect from WWE films (WTF). But I'd watch Aidan Gillen mowing the lawn if they released it.
Obsessed - Better than I expected. Very Fatal Attraction I'd have shortened the middle of the film, it began to drag a little. Idris Elba is another lawn mower I'd watch.

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Død snø aka. Dead Snow
6/10
Nazi zombies kills of a group of medical students that are on easter vacation at a cabin way out in nomanslands.
An above average, entertaining but generic take on 'teenagers gets slaughtered at cabin by zombies' genre,
complete with workshed and chainsaw action.
As its Norwegian i had to see it, and the movie he made earlier Kill Buljo was fun, so he has an ok track record with movies.
..and i worked abit on sound editing on a different (short) movie with one of the makupartists from the Død snø movie.

8.5/10
Wonderfully wierd 'based on a true story' movie, great acting, music and to some extent creative directing.

My Name is Bruce
My Name is Bruce
6 / 10 for the film
10 / 10 for Bruce
Bruce Campbell is excellent playing a version of himself turned up to 11. Unfortunately the rest of the cast, storyline and Demon Spirit let it down.
Still I did chuckle throughout it and loved the cameos from the Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness people.
Worth watching if you are a fan of Bruce.

The Magnificent Seven 8/10
Good film with a great cast, and yull brynner is so damn tough lol.
And i recognized some bits from Seven Samurai wich is kind of fun to see.
Das Experiment 9/10
This is probably one of the most intense movies i ever saw, on the back of the DVD box it said: 'Watch if you dare' they were not kidding.

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Last two I watched:
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane - Pretty okay little slasher, starring the hott Amber Heard. The film is filled with classic slasher characters (read: fodder) that are pretty much just take up space until it's time to get whacked. I'm not complaining, I'll take a decent slasher any day of the week. Originality sometimes doesn't work out for the best, but it would be nice to see someone try. Overall a 6/10
Dirty Harry - Dirty Harry will fuck you up. 7.5/10

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Spent all day at the cinema yesterday;
"Drag Me To Hell" - 7/10 - good scares and i kept looking over my shoulder in the empty theatre well worth seeing if you like scary films, I guessed what would happen at the end and was not wrong, bit disappointing but did not ruin the film.
"Angels And Demons" - 6/10 - Action adventure, but considering it was all in a short space of time, it felt really jarring and jumpy and unrealistic in the timescales. I have never read the book but guessed where the ending was going but was fooled right at the end.
"12 Rounds" - 5/10 - Very similar idea to Die hard 3, Bourne and Taken, one man can do no wrong, nice little twist through the last act and actually quite clever, worth a watch if you enjoy the cop action film.
"Terminator Salvation" - 6/10 - Enjoyed, this film, it has it's flaws with the continuation and the way that it has to get where it is going. However it is worth seeing for the FX if not the acting or story.

Highway 60 - 7/10 well worth a watch
Angels and Demons - 3/10 Dull dull dull dull dull
Terminator Salvation - 5/10 Mostly uninteresting, not as bad as many have said.

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Franklyn - 6 / 10 - Meanwhile City looked stunning. Eva Green was irritating and it was almost very good, but ended up being a tad predictable. Preest had a great mask though.
Splinter - 8 / 10 - Excellent horror film. Looked a lot more expensive than it's low budget. Great acting, superb creature design and excellent sound. Recommended especially if there are a few of you and beer.
Zoolander - 8 / 10 - Classic comedy. One of Stiller's and Ferrell's greatest performances. Plus the Walk Off scene is great - David Bowie!
The Stepford Wives - 7 / 10 (The original one) Great slow burn conspiracy leading into horrific scenario. Has dated in places though. I still can't understand why all of the men go for it though and wouldn't the kids notice?

Looking For Eric
I loved this film. In some ways awfully real, in others fantastic. It had my favourite footballer and my home city. A realistic portrayal of ordinary people. Eric was in it just enough, not too much. For me it was an out and out 5/5. Maybe for others who didn't have the same interests in seeing it as I did 4/5.

Mekka, I'm seeing Looking for Eric tomorrow, and very much looking forward to it.
I saw The Hangover today and it was better than I expected. Not hilarious but quite funny in places. 3/5

Re: What was the last film you watched?
I saw Looking for Eric last night.
I'm not a football fan but that doesn't matter. I really enjoyed it. Thought all the actors were great. Cantona was excellent and very funny.
It was a lot more dramatic than the trailer makes out.
Plus it was mad that the main bad guy was Big Cook from Big Cook Little Cook one of my daughter's favourite shows.
A great film though and recommended

Alien - 7/10
When i saw that it was going to be on TV yesterday i was pretty excited, i heard so many good stuff about this films.
But i felt like it was just nothing really special, the story and the acting was good (i liked John Hurt).
i dont know, maybe the AVP series ruined this for me.

Re: What was the last film you watched?
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li ...why did i even bother
3/10
Prolly the worst movie i have seen since Alien vs Hunter and even that one had something in it that didn't suck.
Even the utterly awesome and gorgeous Moon Bloodgood couldn't even save this movie, there are decent actors in it, exept kristin kreuk, she's bad in everything,
why they cast her when there are like a gazillion Chinese girls that actually can fight out there and look twice the part.
Sets are bad, cutting is bad, fighting and coreagrophy is so bad i wanted to shoot myself, story is even worse, senseless voiceovers and idiotic sound effects when
ever the "main" guys do something (read stare) or when you see a tatoo (omg!!).
stay away from this one.
edit: oh the Van Dame version is way way better atleast its more videogame/comic in nature.
