Produced by most notbaly Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert
comes a series that can best be described as 300 vs Rome on speed.

10 episodes so far, its got it all, gladiators, sex, violence, nudity, intrigue, possible the best dialogue
i have ever seen in a series, blood, decapiations, nude Lucy Lawless ^^, twists, politics and great
acting, plot, storytelling and character development.

The art direction is abit more comicstyle made than 300, its more over the top, tho has abit low budget
cgi, but it still works pretty well. Has alot of the same fight choreography as 300 too, slow motion, blood
gushes and people get chopped off limbs and plumeth to their death in the sun blazing high contrast earthy
coloring style thingy. The other parts are very much Rome style, the intrigue,sex, politics and social
points of view in the series. Mixed together in perfect harmony makes this one of the best series i have ever
seen.

It might be a bit silly and over the top, but by the gods what a rush

Just to keep a small update.


The series prequel: Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is finishing this friday, that makes it a 6 episode mini series.

Gods of the Arena tells the story before Blood and Sand, how Crixus come to be a gladiator.
It is just as good as Blood and Sand and well worth the watch.

Atleast it works here in Norway and is in good quality.

This out next week on DVD and Blu Ray in the UK and I'm definitely buying it. I didn't get to see it when it was broadcast, but watching the trailer has gotten fired up to watch it.

nice, looking forward to the blu-ray release aswell, especially the extended versions of some of the episodes
