Re: Last Book you Read?
The last book I read was The Obelisk by Howard Gordon who is best known as being the head writer and executive producer on 24 as well as writing for The X Files (the book is known as Gideon's War in the US). Enjoyable read, nothing original, cut from the same cloth as Lee Child's Jack Reacher series, albeit with a more white collar hero, it moves at a fair pace is gripping in places and makes for an enjoyable novel.
Re: Last Book you Read?
The last couple of books I've read were both books that I found out about through this forum.Sometimes I get stuck for my next read and it's a good way to try something new. I read Carter Beats The Devil posted by LIVEFORFILMS, a most excellent read, thoroughly absorbing and then I read Heart of Veridon posted by pjowens 75. I read all of China Meivilles books in the last year and fancied some more steampunk type stuff and took a chance on his recommendation. Heart of Veridon was a fantastic read and can't wait for the next in the series. After those two I decided to read some classic literature and went for the Great Gatsby. This was a fairly short novel but very nice to read and still stands up as a good novel after 90 ish years
Re: Last Book you Read?
Just recently finished Carrie Vaughn's STEEL and Richard Castle's NAKED HEAT. Starting Vaughn's DISCORD'S APPLE and probably John Ajvide Lindqvist's LET ME IN.
Last Book I Read
I've just finished reading Arsene Lupin Gentleman-Thief by Maurice LeBlanc.Arsene Lupin was created in the late 1800's and is a burglar turned detective who can even outwit Sherlock Holmes. The character inspired the Japanese cartoon series and also the anime Castle of Cagliostro and there was also a live action French film called Arsene Lupin made a few years ago,all of which I would recommend. Makes brilliant reading that after maore than a century hasn't lost it's edge.

Re: Last Book you Read?
Recently finished reading The Strain by Guillermo Del Torro and Chuck Hogan. Bit of a new take on the vampire thing:the vamps are more like a cross between vampires and zombies and although there is some good scientific breakdown of how the vampiric strain is possible it still has the presence of the classic 'Master' vampire. All in all a very fast paced enjoyable read.looking forward to reading the other two books in the trilogy.
Re: Last Book you Read?
I enjoyed the Strain. Some good action scenes.
Just started reading Feed by Mira Grant. A zombie book set a few years after the zombie plague hits. Pretty good so far

Finished FAKE I.D. by Jason Starr. Almost finished WHEN WEREWOLVES ATTACK by Del Howison. Also picked up Terry Bisson's novelization of GALAXY QUEST and knocked it out over a weekend. Still working on LET THE RIGHT ONE IN / LET ME IN on those rare moments when I have time to sit down at home for "serious reading."
