Out of all the new shows or new series of previous shows, what has been your favourite of the year?
Re: Best TV show of 2009?

Torchwood: Children of Earth
I'd never even heard of Torchwood, but saw an ad for it and decided to check it out on impulse on BBCAmerica. I was completely blown away...stunned, amazed, and moved, like nothing I've seen on American TV. I've since checked out some episodes from previous seasons, but as good as they are, they just don't compare. A remarkable achievement in television.

Children of Earth was very cool. Dreadful moral decisions all the way through it. Not sure where they can go from there, but a new series has been given the go ahead for next year I think.
The first series was not so good, second series was better. Good use of Captain Jack's immortality.
Great that a spin off from Doctor Who has been so succesful

I have to agree with Torchwood: Children of Earth. Fantastic season of what i think is a great universe but somewhat not so great a series.
Also, Battlestar Galactica, David Tennant as Doctor Who is nothing short but a amazing, Burn Notice with the always uber Bruce Campbell.
And Defying Gravity was great i think, and V got a very nice start. ..and Smallville *cough* *cough*
Star Wars: Clone Wars season 2 is better than ever, Batman: the Brave and the Bold, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and even
the second half season 2 of Dollhouse is very good.
So many great series, but if i had to choose just one... it has to be Doctor Who, for without it, we wouldnt even have Torchwood
So sad to see so many of my favourite shows allways get canceled someone should fire some people soon

I've only seen a few episodes from the first series, but enjoyed them. Good that Michael C Hall won a Golden Globe. .Also looks like his cancer is almost in remission which is good news
